Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This policy explains when a PayAssist protection plan can be cancelled, when a refund is payable, and how refunds are processed. It applies to all plans purchased from PayAssist or through our authorised retail partners.

1. Cancellation Within the Free-Look Period

A plan may be cancelled within 15 days of the date of purchase, provided no claim or repair request has been raised against it. This is known as the free-look period.

Where a plan is cancelled within this period and no service has been used, the full plan amount is refunded.

2. Cancellation After the Free-Look Period

After 15 days from the date of purchase, plans are non-cancellable and no refund is payable, because coverage has already commenced and the repair service is available to you for the remainder of the plan term.

Certain plans are marked non-cancellable at the time of purchase. Where that applies, it is stated on your certificate of protection.

3. Where a Claim Has Been Raised

If a repair has been carried out, approved, or is in progress under a plan, that plan cannot be cancelled and no refund is payable, irrespective of the time elapsed since purchase.

4. How to Request a Cancellation

Write to support.zassistcare@payassist.in from the email address registered against the plan, or call +91 90068 25043 between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday.

Please quote your certificate number, the registered mobile number, and the reason for cancellation. We may ask for the original purchase invoice to verify the request.

5. Refund Processing & Timelines

Applicable taxes are refunded in accordance with prevailing tax regulations. Any transaction or payment-gateway charges deducted at the time of purchase may not be refundable.

6. Failed & Duplicate Payments

If an amount is debited but the plan is not issued, or a payment is charged more than once, write to us with the transaction reference. Verified failed or duplicate payments are refunded in full within 7 working days of confirmation.

7. Repairs That Cannot Be Completed

If a covered device cannot be repaired and no replacement or resolution is possible under the plan terms, we will inform you in writing and settle the claim in line with the entitlement stated on your certificate. This is a claim settlement, not a plan refund.
